1 week left! How does time fly by so fast? These last few weeks have been lots of fun with house parties , a little traveling and lots of shopping :) My students continue to be so wonderful and I've enjoyed conversing with them about various topics such as Christmas traditions, bfs/gfs, religion, etc... I will miss them greatly.
A couple weeks ago Candida, our new roomies Debbie and Becky and our housemate Leah took a little train ride to Tigre. The city is on the river delta and you have to take boats everywhere. It looks like a mix of Germany and what I imagine a southern town along the Mississippi to be like. I want a house there. real bad. Christmas present anyone? ;)
Our house has had a few parties in the past weeks as well. We had a halloween party and the house did such a great job of dressing up. I think Che won the best dressed overall but we had everything from fairies to pikachu, it was grand. Next up was an Empanada party with people making everything from carne emps to apple dulce de leche emps. Yummy!
My last weekend in B.A. was really great. We went out to this awesome peruvian/japonese restaurant, went to the Recoleta Fair, saw an Argentine wedding, saw Fonzi's (our new best friend) art show and of course my favorite- went to San Telmo Market. I couldn't ask for a better last weekend in this wonderful city.
Next weekend we are hitting up Uruguay and checking out the best beaches in Punte del Este. I cannot wait :) Until next time friends.
